Can I redact Social Security numbers and other PII?

Yes. You can draw redaction boxes over any content in the PDF—numbers, names, dates, or images. The redaction is applied permanently when you save, so the information cannot be recovered from the file.

Does it respect Google Drive sharing permissions?

Yes. Super PDF Editor accesses your Google Drive files through the standard Google OAuth permission flow. It can only access files that your Google account has permission to access. Shared Drive documents work as well.

Can multiple HR team members use it at the same firm?

Yes. Each team member installs the add-on with their own Google account. The free tier is available for everyone. For unlimited edits and translation, each user who needs Pro features gets their own Pro license.

Does it work with scanned PDFs or only text-based ones?

Super PDF Editor works best with text-based PDFs. Scanned documents (image-only PDFs) can have redactions applied over images, but text editing and translation require selectable text in the PDF.
